and who did you vote for? I know there has been a lot of great debate over this very thing, but since most of the people here have had time to go and Vote, or I hope you did, I was wondering who people really voted for, and when did you make that decision as well?
Personally, I had a lot of mixed feelings over time who I was going to Vote for. I just had a lot of mixed feelings on a couple different issues, but in the end I voted for Obama due to I was not pleased with the choice of Sarah Palin as VP. Personally, I feel she hurt McCain's chance at being the next President, and wonder what would have been the outcome if he would have chosen Romney instead?
So the results are coming in, and it looks quite interesting for sure. All I can say, is I would not have missed this Vote for sure, and no matter what happens in the next 4 yrs. we just need to remember only time can tell where things can really go from here.

Yes, I honestly feel that McCain was changing too much for his own good towards the end, and when he chose Palin that was his Death sentence for sure. I voted, and I voted for McCain, even though I am a Democrat. I have heard Obama say nothing that makes me think he will be worthwhile as President. As for Palin, I think she would be fine as VP, since the VP does little while in office beyond breaking any possible tie votes in the Senate. I did vote, a week ago. I too had some mixed feelings in the beginning but after doing my homework and really trying to figure out the facts my choice was much easier. I was all set to go out and vote this morning...until I found out my voter registration had expired. I would have been far more disappointed if it weren't for the fact that my intended presidential pick wasn't even available as a write-in candidate. Oh well - I'll try again in four years. My husband and I voted this afternoon for Barack Obama. I originally supported John McCain as we are Republicans but I became more and more disenchanted with him after the Primary, after he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, after his policies became more defined. I might have stuck it out with him if he had chosen Romney...I think he would have helped McCain to formulate a better plan for this nation...but for whatever reason, he didn't. [spalladino]

I did vote. We made it a family affair. We walked over to the school where we were assigned to go. It is just around the corner from where we live. All the kids went with us. We homeschool and I've been working with my 4th grader on civics this week. The Constitution and Bill of Rights, branches of the government, voting and election terminology. We had an interesting discussion regarding write in on the ballots and the freedom to choose whomever you wanted to vote for, even if they weren't on the ballot or if you didn't agree with everyone else. I voted for McCain even though I was really not a fan of either candidate. I would have preferred to vote for Romney as well, but it was not an option. I was just amazed at the other candidates on the list. I checked out their webpages and wondered how they even got on the ballot. Anyway, today we have a new president who I will back and support as the choice of the people. I'm just glad that we have the opportunity to vote and show the world how it's done! I stood in line with a fussy 5 month old to vote. My husband early voted (smart man!) and we both voted for Mr. McCain to be in office. I really wish he would have been the one to be elected. Hi Tina - I voted for Obama too. I also agree with you that Sarah Palin hurt McCains chance of winning the election. I know that there are many people out there who do not agree with this but that is just my feeling. I did not like Romney however. I think he should have picked somebody else besides Palin but not Romney. I am very happy with how the election turned out this year. I did early voting. I voted for Obama. I chose Obama because it was time for a change. I feel that he can do the job better than McCain/Palin. I totally agree with you. I went out to the polls early on Tuesday to cast my vote. I voted for Obama, I think he is sincere and will do what is best for the country. You have to look at it like this, he has two little girls, and I am sure he would not do anything that would jepardize their futures, which also includes the future of every American. I hate to say it, but I think a lot of people choose Obama, because they were not happy with John McCains running mate. Let's be real, John McCain, is up there in age, and anything can happen, then Palin would have been president. I do not think she presented herself well. My opinion was sealed when she receive that prank phone call. Whenever she did not understand the question or did not know how to answer a question she would laugh, and that did not sound very VP or President like if she had to take over the office of President. Yes, I did vote; I voted on the actual Election Day because that was the only day the polls in Alabama were open. And man, were they open. Folks lined up at the local high school where we go to vote at. It was crazy once you got to the polling booth itself because you were registering, but you couldn't do anything else, and that was a mess. but all in all, the whole thing took an hour and a half for me. I voted for Obama. From the first time I saw him speak at the 2004 convention, I was interested in him; I felt he was coming into the game a bit soon when he put his hat in the ring, but with time, I warmed up to him; I felt McCain had a good chance but when he chose Sarah Palin, that just killed it for him; We don't know her and now, she's out there still speaking to the media and such; I'm like, ok, it's over now.
