Bush Fans

I mean we borrowed money from CHINA! CHINA! The Canadian dollar is worth more then ours! Please explain to me like I am a child why?? I understand party loyalty but if it was revealed to me that one of the Democratic canadate was the DEVIL I would walk away!! Ok honestly if there was proof, I mean good strong proof that he was the devil would you still support him? I am just shocked but hom many people defend him! AND IF ANYONE THAT IS NOT A bUSH SUPPORTOR KNOWS THE ANSWER PLEASE tell me! It honestly keeps me a wake at night!

[question posted by liperoterachel]responses and comments:

Hello my friend liperoterachel JI, A change is always haelthier than any other options. So let's have a change. Change is a life. have a nice time. [chintoo07]
Yes, I think a change has long been needed! [liperoterachel]

I don't know how or why so many people still support him. I have some friends who are Republicans who refuse to hear any thing said against him. I, however, have not been a supporter of his even when he was our governor. I can't say much for his father or brother either, but he is the worst. I feel he is out of touch with reality or just doesn't care. Now he seems to be trying to look like the "good guy" but he still says dumb things like "that will be the next President's problem." I was a little astonished to hear Chris Mathews of Hardball say that he feels eventually Bush will be looked at as a fairly good President. Of course I will be long dead when that happens. But I guess he is right in that history will be the ultimate judge. [jillmalitz]
I'm surprised that Chris Matthews said that; I watch him every night and I somehow missed that comment. I'd have been calling him some names if I'd heard it...lol! Speaking of bumper stickers and the like, there was one that said "Would someone please give Bush a Bl*w J*b so we can impeach him!" Annie [anniepa]

Yes, I still back him up. He is a hero who has kept America safe through the war on terrorism. I'm glad he was in office at the time because no one else had the guts to do the things that President Bush has done to protect our country and other countries of the world from terrorists. Other administrations had their chance to eliminate the terrorist problems but they turned a blind eye. President Bush didn't. He rose to the challenge. [clrumfelt]
I agree fully! Until Bush is able to confiscate Bin Laden and FINISH WHAT HE STARTED then you can try to tell me otherwise but no he went and rages a war in Iraq and its costing us billions and compromising the Safety of our country even more because now the army is stretched tight and Im fearful Bush is attempting another war somewhere else before his administration is over with! Oh, and what about the massive floods here in the states--don't they deserve attention, they DO affect us all, food prices are only rising and thousands of acres of unusuable farmland and dead hogs--thats not good news but its like Bush expects some person to do the work for him at home so he can go play cowboy, I still do not understand why Congress didnt put their foot down a long time ago and still insist on giving him blank checks. [revellanotvanella]

I am not an American but I hate bush! When they colonized Iraq and polarized the people of the world, I know he is evil. he let the war destroyed the relics in Iraq which are the relics of ancient civilization. Maybe he does not understand that but it can not be an alibi. He should be whipped as much as the number of women and children raped in iraq! What I can not fathom is why he became president in the first place! [everlasting]
Hugo, is alot brighter then we all give him credit for! [liperoterachel]

I'm with you Rach, I don't have a flippin' clue how Bush was elected a second time around, though I'm very aware of the first debacle! All I can really say is that no matter what, this time next year, he will not be in charge anymore. I just feel soory for whoever is charged with Cleaning up the mess, whether it is my candidate or that other guy. [Katesmama]
If its one thing we learn from this Administration it is that we all know how powerful FEAR can be and that Bush's fear campaign has worked and that in the future we as citizens need to be the ones to put our foot down because It doesn't look like a 'bipartisan' congress is capable and sorry to say that but maybe we can go into this next administration thinking of all middle class citizens as the powerhouse behind things instead of the wealthier class just making all the decisions for us.....just thinking. [revellanotvanella]

I just stopped by to say hi, I will be looking forward to reading your responses. Interesting topic. [Polly1]
I think she is trying! [liperoterachel]

The problem is that you give him credit for more power and control than he actually has... look to Congress as well! And don't expect the next president to make things better... presidents are just slightly larger cogs in the same wheels that have turned for centuries. I'm old, and I've seen enough to know this is true. [alamode]
It took bush 6 years to destroy the strong economy the Clintons built it will probably take that to fix it [liperoterachel]

who have you been talking to? anyone who says they like bush is an idiot. lol. but really, watch all of documentaries about the war that bush has begun. hes made so many mistakes that anyone who will still back him up must not know of the terrible things hes done. :/ [powerbrokenape]
Poster number 3 likes him and I have met others that are die hard for him! [liperoterachel]

Apart from loyalty there is the fact that terrorism is a real problem that, if left alone, could mean worse scenarios than Iraq. I'm not American but the world economy depends on the survival of a free and open and safe world commerce. If Bush did not do what he did then all that is endangered and the consequences are horrific for everybody, not just America. The war is responsible for the economic problems. All wars create economic problems. I'm not saying Bush is a saint but the terrorism is real, thats obvious, and it has to be fought. No matter what we think we are not in this world alone. Forgetting somebody else's problem now could mean a worse problem for yourself later. [Bluepatch]
Because he couldn't find him and Bush has ADHD, his attention is not so good. So he found somthing else to blow up! [liperoterachel]

From what I heard the changes made by a president are not felt until about 10 years later so even if a president has two consecutive turns you won't begin to know if they did anything positive until they are already out of office. As far as some of the other things that have happened people have to remember that a president can only do what he is allowed to do and only knows the information he is provided. Congress could choose to stop many of his actions for example and chose not to. He can only veto something once then if congress passes it again it goes through. Also if your advisors from the CIA, FBI or whoever feeds you information as president tells you that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction you believe them. If they feed you the wrong information you should fire them, that is probably his only fault. It's not like the president is ever going to be flying over Iraq in a spy plane seeing what's going on himself. The president is only one head person for a whole government that has tricks, and curves, and all kinds of corruption. It's amazing our country doesn't fall apart, but I don't think it makes any difference who is elected anymore. There are people with power making all the decisions, the whole republican or democrat thing is just there to make us THINK we can effect change by voting for one side or the other, but really they're all in bed together. [banadux]
If that was the case I don't think many would make it past the first year [liperoterachel]

If we as the citizens of this country took politics seriously BUSH would have never been elected. He has always been propped upped, backed up and covered up. Frankly the guys an idiot. Just a front man. Remember DAD was head of the CIA before he became President (Bush Sr.). As a reward for coming to the aide of Kuwait, GWB was given a multi-million dollar contract to drill wells off Kuwaiti shores. They could give the money to Dad, just would not look right. Then they made GWB the President of the Ranger baseball team (another front man position) I mean to the guy cant spell less speak well. Next they make him governor of Texas (another front man position) Then of course you know the rest. Surely the GUYS in the back room or the Golf course somewhere said aah put the kid (GWB)out there while we rape rob and pillage those he represents. See he is not the Devil, he is just being used by him, openly I might add!One more thing go back even further, not to the Dad be to the Grandfather who had financial ties to Hitler and Nazi Germany. With that in mind how in the world did GWB's Dad become head of the CIA. I could go on but if they could steal an election like they did with Florida, (oh wait a minute GWB's brother was Governor of Florida at the time) then whose to same that GWB's "friend" are not monitoring this as I type (under the "patriot act") and label me a terrorist. Excuse someone is knocking at the door....be right back [benhilo]
p.s. welcome to mylot! [liperoterachel]

I didn't support him then or now...Bush scares me. There's always been talk about how Joe Kennedy bought his son the presidency, but I'm really beginning to think that Bush's dad pulled in some serious favors to get his son elected. I mean, the man has an IQ of less than 75! Mine is well above that, but because I don't have that kind of money behind me, I'm struggling trying to find a job. Bush wanted to slap Saddam back for embarassing dad...and he did, but WHY? We killed him, he's dead and gone (as are his sons), we've destroyed their country but then Iraq CAN PAY TO FIX IT UP THEMSELVES! Everyone's currency is worth more than our dollar now. Lead-painted toys, bad pet food, jobs going overseas, our economy is in the toilet and this is supposed to be the best country in the world? I suppose that ANY candidate has got to be better--goodness knows they'll be smarter! [scorpiobabes]
Mexico Is awesome! I love it there!~ [liperoterachel]

I am apalled at what Bush has done as a president and cannot any longer trust the man for anything. we need someone who is not a war monger and a pushover at the same time. I have no idea why some people would still support Bush as mostof my friends are just glad to be getting someone different in the white house as president. [Hatley]
Your right! lol [liperoterachel]

Hi there liperoterachel, I love the discussions and makes me learn in a way...I am not American and still new here! I thought before, he is an admiring leader..LOL! [checapricorn]
its really sad tha there is a man in office that has really made our country a mockery! [liperoterachel]

I'm not a Bush fan!!! I never was and never will be. I never supported him! I didn't even vote for him. I knew he was no good from the get go. He fixed the Florida vote and he only went to war because of oil, not for mass destruction. I'm so glad this is his last term. And McCain is another Bush, he doesn't have my vote. Its time for a BIG change in the US. [alexsis]
I wanted H.Clinton to win the primarys but she didn't, so I have placed the Obama bumber over hers and am crossing my fingers that he is true to h is word and includes her in his campaign she really is an amazing woman I have no idea why people have such a dislike for her! [liperoterachel]

This is what happens when a man who pretty much cheated becomes president. He has too many conflicts of interests to do his country any good, from wanting revenge on anyone who clashed with his Dad to having a weapons business that benefits hugely from any wars that may occur. He isn't just a dumb puppet like some people think! [creative_genius]
I think that is the debate does he know what he;s doing or not! [liperoterachel]

Now I voted for Bush because of party loyalty but I really this time around do not know what or who I will vote for because right now there is nothing really running. As for Bush being Devil ummm no far from. Doesn't really matter who is in office the negative toward the end of term comes out. There is a lot I would of done differently but hey the contracts we have on oil Mr. Clintin set up no? and he is Democrate. Could be interesting this time around to see if whom ever takes office can pull the economy back where it needs to be. [shooie]
Kerri, I think more people will see it from your perspective. That he commited genocide against those people [liperoterachel]

lollol You are starting a hornet nest here lipo. I am living in Jamaica and I dislike every ways of Bush. Yes it is true the Canadian dollars are more higher then the mighty U.S.A. Well the bible did tell us about the king that God make eat grass it is the American who is feeling the effect of the evilous Bush. It is sad because I have relatives living over there but I never as a child inspire to come there. My wish was also to go to Canada because of their great family values. Don't worry the saviour in the form of Obama will come and save your economy. When Clinton was there he grow the economy but because of lust and bad mind the citizen of America falls for the impeachment and get him out. You all are feeling it. China now is a power house and it is going around and doing exactly what U.S.A. did giving away money and I would advise that government to look at the errors that America Government make and do not make them. I know that they are good business people. They look after their family good unlike the states. It is sad but the truth. All the best.happy [kerriannc]
I am thinking of moving to Canada I am so disgusted at the moment [liperoterachel]

Bush scares me! He just does. I've been a closet Democrat for years, cause my spouse is so obviously Republican. But honestly, I felt richer and healthier when Pres. Clinton (Bill) was in office. I just did. I can't explain it. I felt like I had more money. Maybe I didn't. But, bill had a way of smoothe talking himself out of any jam. I loved that guy! Is that weird? I just wish we could have gotten another one like him. I'm not sure if Hillary was the right person. I don't know her well. I don't know Obama too well. But I would much prefer a Democrat to another Republican. I don't support Bush and never will. I hated to see him get elected the first time. The second time is still a mystery to me. How does a person mess up so bad and still get elected again? Good question. I will ponder that for awhile. [beautyqueen26]
I really like the Clintons and honestly I think we did have money! People seemed alot happier! I also remeber being able to go to Canada and my dollar was worth more then theres! [liperoterachel]

Well, I know that I am no fan of Bush's. I have no words for him. He has done so much great harm to our country.. And he makes no sense on what he has done.. I do not appreciate all of the lives that he has taken from us.. They can never be regained.. So as of now he feels guilty for allowing all of this to take place.. So, I guess, he knows that his time is up in the seat as President.. [cream97]
The sad thing is he really doesn't seem to care how we all feel about him [liperoterachel]

srry..i hate him..after the whole iraq thing !!! [cyberkunal]

I think also there is the Right Wing Christian Fundamentalist Republicans that have something to do with this, unfortunately and it's undeniable. I think you can tell I have a passionate dislike for the current leader of the US. I have never liked him. I remember when he was elected the first time - that was bad enough. And couldn't for the life of me understand why he got a second term. I remember where I was when I heard he got in and I just could not believe it. It goes against common decency and I am sure that many people living outside the US turned their heads and hung them in shame. Bush has done allot of moral, inhumane damage in the eyes of the world. Consequently there is a lack of respect of America that has resulted. I understand that many Americans take insult to this type of talk, but unfortunately it is true. Thankfully when you sift through the loud mouthed supporters of the Bush administration and the loud mouthed hate spewing Republicans, you can actually see genuinely concerned and also stunned Americans who want it all to change. I know I step on holy ground sometimes when in these discussions. I have allot of friends in America (I am not American). I also know that when America sneezes the world catches cold. So when I'm told it's not my business to have opinions or interfere with American politics, I feel insulted that as a human being I just have to sit by and watch the Bush government rape the rest of the world. I hope they are made accountable for stealing from the American people to fund a war that is lining the pockets of congressmen and the worlds very very rich and powerful elite. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. Thanks for the opportunity.happy [Tetchie]
Tetchie you earned you had some great responces through out the discussion [liperoterachel]

Ah, doesn't matter who the president is...the one going out, especially after 2 terms, is never liked anymore. Reagen, Clinton, now Bush...they just wear out their welcome I guess. And I'd even say they don't much care anymore as their term is up and the lame duck thing goine on soon, why bother with much when they dont really have to. Sad to say, but quite possibly true at least to a large point! [coffeebreak]
I still like him and honestly could care less what he does with his third leg :) [liperoterachel]

Gosh, I sure don't have an answer! Someone here just yesterday I think said it's all the media's fault, that they don't tell us about Bush's accomplishments, of which there are many. Say WHAT??? Now, he or she didn't say "GOOD" accomplishments but I got the impression that's what he meant but I somehow missed them. I was absolutely amazed that he even came close enough to be "appointed" by the Supreme Court the first time, and I never, ever in a trillion years would have believed he'd get a second term. The idea that anyone could still be a fan or supporter of his is absolutely amazing to me! Annie [anniepa]
Annie if that man accomplished something good he would buy out billboards across the country and tell us all about it! [liperoterachel]

Well I'm certainly no fan of his..I'm now crazy about Obama, but heaven help us if we get McCain otherwise we're going to have another Bush on our hands....I couldn't believe he was re-elected in the first place. The worse was when I bumped into a neighbor of mine and she was beaming...she said "Don't you think Bush is the best president we've ever had?" I wanted to choke her...like what planet was this dame from? I just left and said nothing...otherwise I would have decked her one [pyewacket]
Its so weird that people still think that way what does he need to do kipnap a Baby! Seriously! [liperoterachel]

I am not a Bush fan,at all...I don't know why people still defend him...I try to have respect for the office he holds but not for how he runs it... [slickcut]
Its sad it was almost unheard during my Grandparents day and age to make fun of the president. But it was because he didn't bring reproach. Bush has done more harm to the title then any other [liperoterachel]

hi there. I honestly don't get it either. I have never supported Bush. His eyes and facial expressions when he speaks don't match his words. Before I even knew how horrible of a president he would be, I had a bad feeling just watching and listening to him. You know how you just KNOW that you don't like someone when you first meet them and you can't really pinpoint why? Well, that's how I felt about Bush. All his actions have only served to confirm those original feelings. Well, this is a great post. I look forward to reading some of the responses you get. Sorry I had no answers for you....I wonder myself. [sid556]
Scary hah! The head just kinda wobbles uncontrollably! [liperoterachel]

He was an idiot when he was Gov of Texas. He is a puppet as president, still an idiot but now an idiot puppet. Thankfully he isn't really a Texan so we don't have to claim him. I really wish we could leave the Union just long enough to prevent him from returning to Texas. Take his passport at the border. Nationalize his Ranch. The idiot puppet failed at everything he ever did. He is incapable of stringing words together to form coherent sentences. He is made America the laughing stock and the most hated country in the world....at the same time. He gives me GrrrrrrrFace. [lvaldean]
lol, He likes the middle east so much I think he should go there!~ [liperoterachel]

Hmmmm Who know let me find the answer from the replies u will be getting. I am from Pakistan, and here we have differnt pics as we know how many Afghani, Iraqi and pakistani has been killed in tyhis war against terrorism So no comeents [cupid74]
Hmm, thats better just hope for best as things are going towards some thing bad [cupid74]

Only reason why I like Bush, is because he's a republican and that's it. Now after 9/11, I was ok with him sending troops to hunt down Bin Laden, now when we decided to move into Iraq for 4 years, that's another story. I was happy when we got Saddam and his two evil sons, only because they where evil. Honestly, now it's time to come home and let everyone that want's to take Iraq over go at it. It might sound bad of me, but I like to see what happens to Iraq after we pull out. I'm not a Bush supporter, he is more fun to joke about than anything.I just pray that whoever wins this coming election will pull us out of this hole, without blowing smoke up my butt. While at the same time, if we do ever have another attack on American soil, he won't back down, but go after them. Just them and not another country. Won't let our Military forces go without a raise every once in awhile. They work and deserve a raise just like any employee. I didn't know we borrowed money from China. I would say some things, but I feel I would p**s a lot of people off. So I will just sit back in my chair and keep quiet. 4 months until we elect our new president, and 6 months when we get to tell Bush to take his a*s back to Texas and stay there. [chertsy]
It would be nice if Bush brings them home before he leaves office. It would bring up his popularity, but I don't see that happening. Obama said he would bring them home a few months after he's in office. He wants to tax the rich and give the middle class a tax break. I like his ideas, and if Hilary becomes the vice president for him, that would be nice also. She has a lot of experience, since was married to a president. McCain, I believe will keep troops in Iraq, where we don't belong at all. After 9/11, I was ok with troops going to Afghanistan but when we went to Iraq, I was like uh, Bin Laden isn't there. Saddam was a evil man, but he kept ensurgants out of his country. So with that, why didn't we attack Pakistan, where it was easy for ensurgants to hide, is beyond my belief. I'm prior military and married to the military, but I don't always agree what our Commanding Officer does or says. Especially if he's a quack like Bush. McCain being prior military, I would like to hear why he thinks we should stay in Iraq, besides all the money thats been invested. [chertsy]

Yeah i am an Australian so i mostly see what is shown on TV here. I have read a few reviews about the 9/11 movie but i havn't seen it. I am not a bush supporter he took our soilders to fight his petty oil war and is still using our army (along with his) to fight his dirty battle for power and money.I dont think many people in Australia support George Bush, that's why our former leader John Howard, was voted out our the next election. I dont know alot about the money thing either but i know the Australian dollar used to be worth 60 cents US now it is pretty even. [dont_pick_your_nose]

Sure, if I had supported someone who was proven to be the devil, I would change my loyalties. But I have not seen Bush do anything worse than any other presidents. People forget that he is one man who can do very little without the support of congress. You have one scary dude as the democratic nominee. I'd be worrying about that if I were you. [kenzie45230]
Sorry to butt in here but I feel compelled to say something here since this candidate is daily accused of treason. Obama was placed on the Foreign Relations Committee and given a security clearance in an era of FISA and the Patriot Act. His candidacy is only scary if a person is paranoid enough to declare they're "proud to be American" but don't believe the superpower country they're proud of has the capability of checking the background of a United States Senator. Or that his political opponents in an election are smart enough to challenge his candidacy on its very face. I remember when our alliance's watchword was: "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." For the past eight years there has been a continual hum of "We don't have anything BUT fear." I think it's time to put a stop to it. [MoonlightSerenade]

I am NOT a Bush supporter. This man has caused so many problems for this country that I do not even know where to start. We are at war with a country that we had no problems with (America had no right going to war with Iraq, they did not attack us), we are borrowing money from countries all over the world, we are borrowing oil from all over the world, and he takes more Vacations than any other president I have ever known and/or heard of. This man is going down as the worst president in U.S. history. If anyone cannot see this, then they have issues. [rogue13xmen13]

I'm in Australia, so obviously never had to vote for him - but our ex-Prime Minister was a good buddy, and thus we were dragged into the 'coalition of the willing'. Most of the country were NOT willing, however ... so all I can hope is that your countrymen vote for someone decent and sensible this time! Good luck with it! [guybrush]

I voted for Bush and if he "could" run again, I would vote again for Bush....Everyone should be worried more about the "white racist" who is running for the next commander in chief. That is the scary part to me. Bush is no devil, and has already been said that he is just one man against many who sit in the seats of congress & senate and without their support he can do nothing he would desire to do for this country. Many things are vetoed before he can put them into action. He cannot be blamed for the shape this country is in, listen folks, these things must come to pass....The Bible clearly tells us about them, read it for yourself. The Bible also tells us to respect those who sit in higher authority, and pray for them. We are not supposed to name call, and talk about them, we are to show respect for them and pray. Bush is NO different than any other president we have had, the only difference is this.....Each year you are gonna see things become worse & worse....it will NEVER get better no matter who sits in the seat of president. God said it would be and it will. Wait it out & see for yourself if it doesn't come to pass. Yes maybe we did feel we had more money a few years back, and fact is we probally did....but we are headed into a moneyless world.....in a matter of just a few years or months, I don't know but I do know it is gonna be. The fact of the matter is this.....man is gonna fulfill the prophecy and it is happening before our eyes every day, and trying to maintain here is gonna be a very hard task to perform....the only hope for us is in the Lord....apart from Him we are not gonna be able to survive the things to come. Have a great day Kathy [kcook57]
Shewolf, that is exactly what I am saying.....Thank youhappy Rachel, I haven't said anything about anyone else's religion here, why do you keep saying that. I have asked you to not add more than I have said, you don't seem to listen. I have never disrespected anyone here for their beliefs....in fact I have alot of friends here that does not believe like I do. I have been name called and a bit of everything else here while I displayed my beliefs, but I have never done such as that to anyone here. What kind of problem are you finding with my response? Why do you keep saying I need to give respect. If it is not respect then I am judging, I see nothing of the sort in either of my responses. You asked about Bush, I gave my response, if you don't want people to respond to your discussions, why do you post them? [kcook57]

I honestly don't know. I have never supported him, but a lot of my friends, and people around here still do. I can't understand how anyone can still support him after 9/11, and the war in Iraq. Plus, like you said he has destroyed the economy. I don't know if anyone can fix the mess he's made. [Bd200789]

I never backed him from the begining I voted for Kerry as did alot of america but the bushes did what they do best cheat ,lie and steal [liz1122]

Bush is rather boring, but he is from traditional marriage, and for pro life. That is two good reasons, even though he does not have the charm. As for borrowing money, when did the States run out of money? Was it during Bush's campaign or was it already running out and Clinton did not tell you. It is easy to blame Bush, but remember 911 did not happen until he became president, yet the reasons behind it started in the Clinton area. He got rid of Saddam who instituted the invasion of Kuwait, the economic crisis was not started by Bush, Al Gore started it by writing his book, and using unreliable computer models, that lead to the gas prices going sky high because the Democratic lead crisis would not allow oil fields to be open. So it is not that Bush was the cause, these things just happened to happen while he was president. As for Iraq, he was given wrong information so maybe one should look at his advisors. [suspenseful]
And tell me where I said that, please do!!!!!!!! Do NOT add more than is there, thats what is wrong with alot of mylotters around here.....they see what they wanna see whether it is there or not. The only thing I said was that those who are making man made laws , that the laws would perish one day and so would the "man" who "made" them......where did I say you or anyone else was going to hell if you didn't change your ways. Man you must really be trippin tonight. Or either you are searching for the truth, one or the other. [kcook57]

I am not a Bush Supporter. I consider him and Cheney to be criminals since the CHAD conspiracy and the Florida Fiasco. By popular vote, he is not our prez. He is prez by flaw and error. In God's eye, Bush is just a spineless greedy tyrant (fatherless=Godless). He(Bush) was brainwashed long ago when snorting coke. He went on to be a patsy for the big oil companies and the makers of weapons. He damaged the USA like hitler damaged his country. The ol' addage= The road to hell is paved with republicans, seems to ring true. We are all getting poorer by the minute. The way prices are on everything just proves we are all slaves, locked into a devestating spiral that can not be stopped. The end of civilization as we know it is near. I envision the whole world in a war soon that will destroy all of mankind. I am just waiting to fall victim to the people who hate us. We use to have enemies. Now we have 100 times more. Bush is just the answer for some. These very people that put him in power are losers. They are the worst kind of human on earth. Though a few simply made mistakes, the rest just hate everyone else...and voted him in because they are evil as well. I personally, think that anyone that voted for Bush, ought to be charged with a crime as well. When the next idiot destroyes a whole nation for oil...a majority of our people might hesitate. I personallly think Bush the whinning little momma's boy should have accepted the Saddam Duel offer. But he was not man enough. He would rather bomb civilians and take collateral damge instead. God did not bless our nation. He is punishing us now! The people that support Bush....are the devil dear...trust none of them. [WebWizard]

to me those who supported Bush innitially will continue to do so because to stop would be to admit they were wrong. Have you ever known a conservative be able to admit they are wrong? no, nor me. blessed be [ESKARENA1]

I voted for the man. I regret it now. I was like he got into office for the second time and has an attitude of "I can do anything, I am the ruler of the world" of coarse I am not in his head. But he sure has done some bad things for our county and continues to. Renewing the off shore oil drilling, it will not help anyone for five to 10 years. What is it going to do to our environment? He has signed bills saying it is OK to kill the wolfs, and other endangered species that get in the way of oilmen. That does not make any sense to me at all. I am with you I would like to know why people still defend him. I also feel that if we vote in the republican who is running for president we will have much the same running of our county. Thank you you have a blessed evening also. I do not dwell on the angry like I use to. I have learned to deal with it for the most part. Mom is a user and does not think she did anything wrong. I will forgive her one day but not today. I talked to her today, I am her care giver. She lived in my home for 13 years. She moved in at the age of 59 because she refused to work and lost her mobile home. She then took to her bed and did not life a finger to help me. I on the other hand a family to raise, a husband, worked full time and was going to school. I also went to my Grandmother's and helped out with taking care of my Grandmother. She never once help cook a meal, do a dish or picked up after herself. She did a lot of griping about my kids and husband. It got to be that I could not take care of her any longer. She had to go into a nursing home. She has been in there 3.5 years. She calls me all the time to bring her stuff and do things for her and I have had to put a stop to a lot of that. I have a disability and have to take care of myself. She cannot take NO for any answer. I have to hang up on her at times. If she would say thank you some times, if she appreciated at least some of the thigs I do for her. I know what I buy her cloths she does not like them, I buy her things she and follow her orders to a T it will be wrong. I have given up on her. She has not asked about her other two daughter in years, she has not asked about her three grand children in years. Now I am going to be a grand mother and I do not know if I want her to know that she is going to be a great grandmother. I know that is bad but every time I try to tell her about the family he changes the subject or says something negative about the person. I give up. I do take care of her because I told her I would. I do not like it but I do it because I gave her my word. [teapotmommommerced]

The American people just sat back for eight years and watched this man commit acts worthy of execution!!! Now they are saying he should be impeached! This man had a hand in the mass murder of our own citizens and covering up facts to fuel sentiment for an unjust war! He should be imprisoned or hung!!! You think he's is the devil? I cannot disagree with you! [shamsta19]

Ok.Bush is a moron in more ways than one-no argument there.I'll even admit to voting for him as the lesser of two evils, running against two very dangerous liberals (Internet AL & Theresa's husband).I do not know of one person who still supports him but they are out there.Throughout this thread I have heard the same tired,OLD arguments and I will not bother trying to change your minds.Even the cheating and prior knowledge garbage. Obviously, we have a group of liberals on this thread,so I want to ask you a question. Are you all giving the Democrat-controlled Congress a pass on the war and the economy? They have fallen nicely in lock-step with the president on war funding and excessive spending (especially this week). Are you going to hold the Congress accountable this election year? [john_galt44]

If I had my way Bush would have been gone along time ago. There is no reaosn that we should still be at war this many years later. He has done nothing but bring us down. I mean for god sakes we have a president that can't even give a speech and speak correctly. [sturner03]

There are a lot of us who aren't very happy with Bush's performance. Personally I think he spends way too much money, and provided absolutely no leadership on energy policy. I believe his 2001 energy policy was a worthwhile endeavor, and if it had passed we'd be in much, much, much better shape today than we are. He had a Republican congress, extremely high popularity, and yet he allowed it to languish for four years, passing nothing until 2005, and then only a very watered down version. On the other hand, who else was I to support? Al Gore came within a couple of supreme court justices of disenfranchising my entire state. I can only assume from his rhetoric and his boss's track record that 9/11 would have gone unanswered. I had similar problems with John Kerry. On the other hand, I feel a reflexive need to defend the man when unsubstantiated or outright disproven charges are leveled at him. If the CIA knew 9/11 was going to happen, then George Tenet and possibly Bill Clinton should be charged with treason. The time when it could have been averted was prior to Bush's election. The terrorists were in the US, had received their flight training, and had faded into the American fabric by then. If one person fires a gun and kills another, you can't charge the guy the killer handed the gun to with murder. Iraq had WMDs. They were observed by UN weapons inspectors in 1999 or 2000. Iraq was to have destroyed these weapons, and were required to prove that they had done so under the UN resolutions that lead to the 2003 invasion that ultimately ended that 12+ year war. We have not found WMDs except for a few chemical weapons shells that were rigged into IEDs (and thankfully failed to do the damage they were fully capable of because the insurgents did not know how they operated). But we also haven't found the evidence that the chemical weapons the UN found and documented after the first gulf war were destroyed. You can't just break these things open and dump them in the Water or something, there are byproducts that need to be controlled and stored. (And if they had simply dumped them they would have left some obvious traces). The idea of Al Qaeda not having a presence in Iraq prior to the invasion has been thoroughly and repeatedly debunked. More than 1 report, the most widely respected of which was the one issued by the bipartisan 9/11 commission, concluded that while AQ did not have an operational relationship with the Iraqi government, they did have a presence that was known and permitted by the Iraqi government. There were plenty of reasons for me to vote against John Kerry. One of the biggies is that he stood up, much like you have done here, and made statements of fact regarding Iraq and their relationship with AQ that were not true. I can forgive you because I believe that you believe that the things you've said about Bush are mostly if not entirely true. John Kerry, however, does not have the benefit of ignorance. When he said that Iraq did not have any WMDs, he knew that he was lying. When he said that AQ did not have a presence in Iraq prior to the invasion, he knew that wasn't true either. I think that making such fantastic and already refuted claims hurt John Kerry immensely, and I suspect that is why you've seen Obama so far stay away from them for the most part. I must say that by raising them again, you're not helping yourself or your candidate. As I said, there were plenty of other reasons to be suspicious of Kerry. Much like Clinton and Gore before him, and Obama now, Kerry's numbers didn't add up. For example, he proposed about $2T of new spending, which he said he could pull off with no increased borrowing and no new taxes on the middle class. He proposed to pay for it by repealing only the portion of Bush's $1T tax cut that went to the "rich". (He kept stressing that he would not raise taxes on the middle class). Note, however, that even if ALL of the tax cut had gone to the rich (not even half of it did), he would have been short $1T (all numbers are over a 10 year period). Kerry later reversed his pledge on the middle class to say that he'd raise taxes on the rich and everyone in the middle class making over $200k. This gave him a bit more money to work with than raising taxes only on the rich, but as I said even repealing the entire tax cut would have only gotten him only half of what he proposed spending. And even that would only have lasted until the affects on the economy took hold and we fell to Clintonian growth numbers, most likely resulting in a net decrease in federal tax revenue. Some of Obama's claims are even more stunning than those made by Kerry. For example, he says that he is going to cut the price of a resource (gasoline) by increasing the tax imposed on the production of that resource. That this is impossible isn't Economics 101 -- it's 2nd grade arithmetic. The bottom line here is that Bush has his flaws, and they can be pretty specifically and clearly enumerated. But those most critical of him are the same ones that would be worse in every area in which Bush is flawed. This, as much as anything else, is what has given Bush the cover to underperform the way he has. He has been able to credibly say "Oh, you think I spend too much money? You think taxes are still too high? You think I need to do more about energy? Tough. Who you going to vote for, Kerry? Good luck with that." In other words, he's been the best choice in both races -- the "lesser of two evils" if you will. And for that, the opposition party is as much to blame as Bush himself. Indeed, a right-winger with a conspiracy orientation similar to your own might be temped to think that the Democrats' fielding of inferior candidates in the last couple of elections was done intentionally, to allow the opposition party to deal with and bear the blame for the problems that can be at least partially traced to inaction on the part of the previous administration. [tizzo692]
You are right about this investigation. I stand corrected and hang my head in shame. And apologize. This investigative ball had been dropped and what I saw was an erroneous report. [MoonlightSerenade]

OK, don't flog me. I will admit I voted for him the FIRST TIME. BUt now - how can ANYONE support him unless they are completely blind. Not only has he LIED TO US over and over and over. But he has stomped all over the Constitution. He has taken away so many civil liberties and people don't even KNOW the privacy and protections he has taken AWAY from American Citizens. He should have been impeached LONG AGO, but apparently Congress is too scared to do what they should. They should step up to represent their people and get this guy out. I don't want to wait until next January. (although, honeslty, do you want Cheney taking over AT ALL??) [cassidy22]
You're not the only one, I thought better of him then too... I've changed my mind. And I agree Cheney would be a scary thought. Glad it's almost election time, but once again who knows what to expect. [missybal]

Sounds like ya got a real problem there and no I dont know why people think alot of him! DOnt know why we have to borrow money from amy one when we can make our own all he has to do is order more made! We have 3 mints where they make it so why not makewhat we need and not borrow from any one and to shouldnt some of the countries that owe us big time start paying up! Now more to make ya stay up nights . to think about [Lakota12]

I consider myself a republican and I am a military wife, and I would just like to say I do NOT support Bush, and it sickens me what he is putting our men and woman in the military through. My husband had to volunteer to go overseas in order for us to survive financially due to the economy. I do see however on both sides weather democratic or republican that people stand with their party, however I don't feel that way. Although Clinton made us a laughing stock with his affair in the oval office he did have the economy in a far better state and the american people were not struggling like they are now. However I haven't the faith that Hillary would do the same, and I don't want to go down the road of what I think of that woman. But so many times I have heard people say that to be a republican means you are for this war and that you must support Bush and if you are against it you must be a democrate. Completely not true! My grandmother was a big supporter of Bush but even now she can not wait for him to be out of office because we do need a change, but that doesn't mean that necessarily it would take democrate and only a democrate to fix it all. Honestly I believe that one of American's greatest attributes and their worse also is their loyalty. Who says we can't change or minds? I realize your discussion is about the economy but the main problem with the economy is this war. Now I was all for kicking butt when 9/11 hit but it was suppose to be over when Bush said mission accomplished and we can not change the world to be just like us. There are terriorists over here too in all different shapes and sizes, and Bush is putting American's at risk there and here. And honestly I think he is just after glory at the risk of lives of our american people of changing the whole world into a democracy. He wants to be remembered as being the man in the history Books who changed the world. He's changing it alright, now we need someone to fix what he's done to it. All of this is of course my opinion so please don't fight me on it anyone. I respect your opinions and I don't really like getting into the political section of mylot because it seems to bring out the ugly in people and they what to tell everyone how you're wrong and this is right... Honestly nothing in this world is so black and white... It's all gray. [missybal]

I think that part of the problem was that the conservative and moral majority people thought that he was one of their own as he was packaged by a man with the last name Weed as well as by others who are more well known. Once he got the blind support of these people who were mostly evangelical Christians who have unfortunately often had the tendency to not question their leaders and to think that they should not exercise their own discrimination and/or question the authority of their leaders. This blind faith is and was in error. It is a big mistake to ever think that a political leader is acting as God and that he should not be questioned or held to high standards. According to the Founding Fathers we are supposed to be wary and critical and are supposed to fight against infringements of freedom. These people were too focused on security and were too much into their need for structures to keep them safe as they were and are still fearful that they dared not and still do not dare to change their perspective about this man who frankly has violated his oath of office and is worthy of impeachment. Regarding 9-11, there is the truth that often, when there is a need for people to be heroes they rise to the challenge and become what is needed. Yet that does not mean that Bush, in other moments of time without this intense pressure is a hero. I believe that he is a puppet for other people and that he is owned by corporations which have no loyalty to the American people or to this Nation. It is likely that we will find that he and others in his Administration have been guilty of many crimes... motivated by fear, greed, and the desire for power and control. The fact that Clinton behaved badly and that Gore was his vice president and that the Democrats were said to all be pro abortion (not accurate as many Democrats are no pro abortion) made them vote for Bush as they thought it was a moral vote. Unfortunately though,Bush had other problems which they did not bargain for... I voted against Bush Senior when he ran the last time as he seemed disconnected from the people and as I believed that he would get us into a war if he were re-elected. I did not ever vote for Bush Junior as I had bad feelings about him. I did not, by the way, like Gore either. I regret that my intuition regarding Bush Junior was accurate.I would have rather had him be a better president. [whiteheron]

I like bush..wait, you are talking about the President. Sorry, I thought you were talking about something else for a second there. I cannot stand president bush. He is an arrogant, lying piece of crap. And those are his good qualities. [buldwgz]

well do you know that mr bush he is the only reason of all this prices raising in allover the world well you going to say no you just exaggerate issues and i will tell you that . bush with his un smart activities make the dollar value decrease for all his president period and this make petrol price increase as a normal react . and which make all harvests and industries in allover the world became more expensive so mr bush really push all this world for poverty and even die for some poor countries may you can't feel all of this but I'm watching the news every day and watching ppl dies every day cause of bush's policies our advantage is if dollars back to the life again with bush leaving and usa back to be the best again .
