Ronald Reagan, Jr. is what...a college drop out who tried his hand at ballet and then quit, and who is now giving a shot at trying to be a psychiatrist. Not only that he is misrepresenting the facts.
“Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction.” Reagan then sarcastically asked: “What does George W. Bush say? ‘Well, I still think they had them.’ That’s not just spin. That’s dementia, you know.”
Actually Iraq did have WMDs. This is a fact. It now looks like most and quite possibly all of the large stockpiles were destroyed. David Kay has not said that there were no WMDs ever, but that the large stockpiles probably (i.e., with high probability in his opinion) don't exist and haven't existed for a number of years.
Posted by Steve at January 28, 2004 11:54 AMI wouldn't say destroyed so much as decayed, really.
Posted by: Leo on January 28, 2004 07:31 PMJust seen Ronald Reagan Jr's interview by Marie Bartoroloma on CNBC. Wow, its a shame he's so bitter about things...gives the impression of a brat trying to protect his fathers popularity over the popular George Bush. What a shame he has to stoop so low...its obvious what his beef is. He should watch the interview...very weak..As far as Ronald Reagan Sr....Good man shame his son didnt grow up though
Nothing wrong with Ron Reagan Jr. He is right. George Bush has accomplished NOTHING in 4 four years but bring us into another Vietnam, destroy the economy, the middle class, engaged in a war against minorities, working class, they pose a threat to separation of church & state; woman's rights, and on and on. Bush & Cheney are a dangerous crowd. They have made a nuisance of themselves all for oil & $$$. They are nothing short of International terrorists plain & simple. Anyone who votes for Bush is a loser.
Posted by: Doug Gilfillan on June 9, 2004 11:21 AMI agree with Ron. Jr. This administration sucks and so do all the people who think otherwise.
Posted by: Jireh Kemet on June 11, 2004 08:39 AMI love Ron Jr.
Posted by: Sally on June 11, 2004 07:40 PMRon (chinless) Regan Jr. had to get his little left wing shot in at his Dad's funeral. Too bad he didn't turn out a gentleman like his father. Of course, you can't expect much else from a liberal.
Posted by: Ron Russell on June 11, 2004 08:57 PMIt's Funny! Ron Jr, never mentioned any politician by name and you conected his remarks to G.W.. Interesting.
Posted by: Astro on June 11, 2004 09:39 PMKarl Rove is not a liberal, what was that about McCain having a black child back in 2000? Was that started in the "Spirit of Reagan"?
Posted by: astro on June 11, 2004 09:45 PMGood for you, Ronnie Jr.! You say it like it is...
Posted by: Violet on June 12, 2004 06:23 AMI never connected the ballerina's remarks to G.W.
I never mentioned G.W., but Astro did. Now that is interesting!
"Ballerina, Chinless" Little right wing shots, how Republican Like. The Republican double standard lives on, not only in the imaginations of their politicians but also in the imaginations of their minions.
Posted by: Astro on June 12, 2004 11:03 PMIt's amazing that liberals always consider insults and cheapshots to be their own private territory. Perhaps because that's all they bring to any discussion, and if they have to match wits, they find themselves unarmed.

"I never connected the ballerina's remarks to G.W.)"
Your cheap shots not mine! I guess you made them in the genteel manner of the Good Christian Republicans Karl Rove and Tom Delay.
It is amazing that if anyone disagrees with the Bush Administration, they are labeled Un-Patriotic or Anti-American. During the Clinton years, there was plenty of Republican decent against his administration. Using the modern day Republican logic, that would make you Republican folk, communist sympathizers. This country originated on decent of government authority, namely the British authority.
By the way, did you read there is another “Official Bush Document” citing bogus information. This one decrees a decrease in Terrorist Attacks. It’s sure hard to keep track of all those lies.
At least old Bill lied about a BJ, not WMD, Terrorist Attacks, Arms for Hostages, Veterans Benefits, No Child Left Behind or Tax Breaks for the Wealthy, etc, etc, etc.
Space prohibits me from continuing!!!
Posted by: Astro on June 13, 2004 09:33 PMOf course they were my cheap shots;I said as much. I always take cheap shots at cheap people.
Your long, rambling, foam-at-the-mouth screed (in which you confuse Presidents and issues) is typical of liberal, slash and burn, say anything
tactics. Get back to me when you begin thinking clearly.
Intelligence prohibits me from continuing....
Posted by: Ron Russell on June 14, 2004 05:36 PMDear Ron:
Wow, I guess I struck a nerve!
Your statement about liberals is confusing, are you a Liberal? After all, according to you, “What else but cheap shot can you expect from one”.
Also, I have not confused my Presidents. I know it was Ronald Wilson Reagan that lied about Arms for Hostages. The rest of the lies I mentioned, will attribute to G.W..
Later this week should be interesting. Both former Republican and Democratic diplomats and senior military officers, some appointed by G.H. Bush himself are condemning GW Bush and his administration’s policies. Below is an excerpt.
Don’t worry! I think your Intelligent enough to continue.... I look forward to our next round.

Retired Officials Say Bush Must Go
The 26 ex-diplomats and military leaders say his foreign policy has harmed national security. Several served under Republicans.
WASHINGTON — A group of 26 former senior diplomats and military officials, several appointed to key positions by Republican Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, plans to issue a joint statement this week arguing that President George W. Bush has damaged America's national security and should be defeated in November.
The group, which calls itself Diplomats and Military Commanders for Change, will explicitly condemn Bush's foreign policy, according to several of those who signed the document.
"It is clear that the statement calls for the defeat of the administration," said William C. Harrop, the ambassador to Israel under President Bush's father and one of the group's principal organizers.
Those signing the document, which will be released in Washington on Wednesday, include 20 former U.S. ambassadors, appointed by presidents of both parties, to countries including Israel, the former Soviet Union and Saudi Arabia.
Others are senior State Department officials from the Carter, Reagan and Clinton administrations and former military leaders, including retired Marine Gen. Joseph P. Hoar, the former commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East under President Bush's father. Hoar is a prominent critic of the war in Iraq.
Hello.
I saw Ron Regan Jr. on Larry King last night and was impressed with his intelligence. Like his father, he is a good communicator.
I happen to be an observant, born again Christian and am sorry that Mr. Regan feels the way he does about the 'regligous right'. Bear in mind, they do not represant all born again Christians.
I will admit, I don't agree with their antics. In their stand for righteousness, they do come across as self righteous and hard.
As far as stem cell research goes, what Mr. Regan says makes a lot of sense, taking cells from your own body to create new cells. What I think the religious right is opposed to is stem cell research involving embryos.
The rational behind this, is that all humans are a triune being. Body, spirit, mind. Even though the tiny embryo is undeveloped, it still contains a spirit which is created in the image and likeness of God.
Mr. Regan, I'm sure if your father knew how well you turned out, he'd be very proud of you.
God bless you!!!
Posted by: kathy kurland on June 24, 2004 12:46 PMRon Junior is an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Jeff on July 13, 2004 07:23 AMRon Jr. does have some soul searching to do. Maybe he shouldn't "dance" in political waters he was too afraid to do so in front of his father.
Posted by: Kara on July 13, 2004 02:20 PMPresident Regan is turning in his grave. Not only did he love this country he loved what the Republican Party stood for. Maybe Ron is too young to remember his father as the leader of the free world. President Regan would have done exactly what President Bush has done, Protect America!

the logic of the left...wow
Posted by: pat on September 1, 2004 10:53 PMWith elections swiftly approaching...perhaps it is not time to be negative apropos one party or another, and yet this is seemingly the ongoing tirade. Both sentiments expressed reveal an unwillingeness to engage in discussion and, instead, sling differing euphemisms for "I am right..." Until we are truly willing to engage in discussion, with one another, between the political parties, and in the world...what hope do we have in effectuating change? The key is to recognize problems and work towards their solution together, not to play on one anothers prejudices, fears, ignorance, and depeleted sense of idenity and belonging. All that creates is a power struggle with individuals on the outside, bitter, disillusioned, and closed (and perhaps righteously so...). We need to share openess, share a degree of trust, promote understanding, and actually listen. For without doing so, does anyone truly know what is going on?
Posted by: Scott on October 25, 2004 06:50 AMOn Ronald Reagan Jr, what an arrogant pompus and not so bright individual he makes it so obvious that he has let his hate for President Bush and his idealisms be his platform, when I see him on TV I do not see an articucate man I see somebody who is tyring to capitolize on his fathers success. Please get this poor excuse of what ever he is off the air. Thank you
